Provider: MineStar Network("we", "us", "our") , contacto@minestar.me
Product: StarAC, a Minecraft server anti-cheat plugin, in its free ("Lite") and paid ("Pro") editions.
By downloading, installing, running, or purchasing StarAC, you ("you", the "Administrator") agree to these Terms & Conditions and to the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not download, install, or use StarAC. If you install StarAC on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.
Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use StarAC on Minecraft servers that you own or operate:
The license covers use of the software as distributed. We retain all ownership of StarAC (see section 10).
You may not, and may not permit others to:
Violation of this section may result in immediate termination of your license and remote deactivation (section 6).
StarAC Pro is sold and licensed through BuiltByBit; your purchase is also governed by BuiltByBit's terms. Prices, the scope of a Pro license, and any renewal terms are those shown at the point of sale. Refunds, where offered, follow our stated refund policy and BuiltByBit's rules. "Pro" delivers improved detection (models/configuration trained on aggregated data) via plugin updates; it is a software product and service, not a guarantee of specific detection outcomes (section 8).
StarAC sends data to our servers as a core, non-optional part of how the plugin works; this cannot be disabled, and you accept it as a condition of using StarAC. As detailed in the Privacy Policy, this consists of: (a) anonymous operational data that identifies a server, never a person; and (b) anti-cheat improvement data, numeric movement/combat features and detection labels in which each player's identifier is pseudonymized on your server (HMAC under a secret salt that never leaves your machine). We never collect player names, IP addresses, chat content, or raw UUIDs.
As the operator of your server, you are the data controller for your players and you are responsible for: providing your players with any notice and for having any legal basis your local law requires; and ensuring your use of StarAC complies with the laws applicable to you and your players. We process the data we receive only as described in the Privacy Policy. You grant us the right to use the data we receive to operate, maintain, and improve StarAC and our detection models.
StarAC registers each installation and periodically contacts our servers. You acknowledge and agree that we may remotely revoke or deactivate a license or a specific server installation if: these terms are violated, the license is invalid or expired, abuse or tampering is detected, or we are legally required to do so. Deactivation is designed to be fail-safe (the plugin disables its protection rather than behaving unpredictably). We may also operate a kill-switch for security or integrity reasons.
Our backend services are provided on a reasonable-efforts basis and may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the backend, the dashboard, or data ingestion.
We may release updates that change, add, or remove features (including detection logic and the data collected). Continued use after an update means you accept the updated software and, where applicable, the updated terms. We may discontinue an edition or feature; for Pro, material discontinuations will be handled reasonably.
StarAC is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. No anti-cheat is perfect. We do not warrant that StarAC will detect all cheating, that it will be free of false positives, or that it will operate error-free or uninterrupted. You are responsible for your own moderation decisions, including any bans or sanctions you apply based on StarAC's output.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, players, revenue, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to StarAC, even if advised of the possibility. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to StarAC will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for StarAC in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or €50. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
StarAC, including its code, detection engine, models, branding, and documentation, is owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited license in section 2, no rights are granted to you. Feedback you provide may be used by us without restriction or obligation.
These terms apply while you use StarAC. Your license terminates automatically if you breach them, and we may terminate or suspend it (including by remote deactivation) as described in section 6. On termination you must stop using and remove StarAC. Sections that by their nature should survive (e.g. 3, 5, 8, 9, 10, 12) survive termination.
These terms are governed by the laws of Spain and the European Union, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts of Spain will have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer-protection law gives you other rights.
We may update these terms; the effective date above reflects the latest version, and material changes will be noted in the changelog or on the StarAC page. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
